Chapter News!
Posted over 2 years ago
Hello!
Here is an update on chapter happenings.
It is election time and we have a full slate! Those who are members of local and national HPNA will have received an email with a link to vote. We hope that you saw our previous announcement requesting people to join our AdHoc committee. This is an easy way for you to dip your toe in the water and help us plan our activities and events. Continued support by people like you, is greatly needed to keep our chapter alive and growing! Volunteering is always more fun with a friend...so grab a hospice/palliative colleague and come join us!
The Executive Board will be transitioning in June. All Bio's are located on our website in the About Us sections.
- Rowena Oliva will be taking over as President and will serve 2 years.
- Kayce Riodan will be Vice President and serve for 2 years
- Coni Nielson will remain as Treasurer which is now a 1 year term which is renewable.
- Stacy Circelli will be the new Secretary which is now a 1 year term, which is renewable.
- Tricia Dziabis will be immediate past President.
- AdHoc members are Masako Mayahara, Nancy Romanchek, Michelle Buikema
Margaret Avery-Robinson will be retiring from the Board and finally moving to Michigan. Her years of dedication and support to our Board in her roles as Treasurer, Secretary, Retreat Planner, Food Provider, Fleece Keeper, etc, has been invaluable in keeping this chapter alive! She will be so very missed!
Needs Assessment: Please use the attached link/Google Doc to get to the survey.
It will be quick to fill out- only a couple questions to help us with Chapter needs. If you have any questions, please reach out through our Nursing Network website or our chapter email.
Finally, our chapter will be donating money to HPNF in honor of Judith Paice. Judy is a huge supporter and member of our Chapter and has provided many excellent pain management educational events for us. If you would like to donate yourself, here is the information from the website:
- The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) Florence Wald Champions invite you to honor and celebrate Judith Paice, PhD, RN, FAAN for her lasting impact on hospice and palliative pain management. Please join us with a gift to HPNF to recognize Dr. Judith Paice’s leadership and care that has brought comfort to countless patients.
- The Florence Wald Champions’ goal is to raise $10,000 in Dr. Judith Paice's honor and bestow upon her the designation of a Florence Wald Champion. Gifts in Dr. Judith Paice's honor can be made by clicking the "donate" button above, or by texting "Paice" to 855-202-2100. All proceeds will support HPNF.
